This link speaks for itself - DiveCaptDean - 06-14-2008 This link should speak for itself......INCREDIBLE... Re: This link speaks for itself - matt t. - 06-14-2008 Sweet! If only it were a couple hundred feet shallower........ Re: This link speaks for itself - DiveCaptDean - 06-14-2008 Something about the story tells that its not 500 feet deep...i bet its no more than 425... : Re: This link speaks for itself - Dewit2it - 06-14-2008 Might be shallower yet! Re: This link speaks for itself - matt t. - 06-15-2008 Might be, but it doesn't mention any diving, just the ROV. I would guess if it were divable wiith in "reasonable" limits they would have done it Re: This link speaks for itself - MNDiveLady - 06-15-2008 And remember it's a British war grave....Let it rest in Peace! Thanks for the link Deano! Very interesting reading! Re: This link speaks for itself - Chris H - 06-15-2008 I don't disagree that it is a war grave, but the majority of the wrecks in the Great Lakes have involved loss of life. What is your feeling on us diving them? The Cedarville, for example, had many more lost than the Edmund Fitzgerald, but no where near the publicity. It is a very popular dive site. I try to treat every wreck with respect. Re: This link speaks for itself - matt t. - 06-15-2008 Like Chris said, most are graves. If it were a couple hundred feet shallower, I'd be interested in diving it. If the Edmund Fitzgerald were shallower there would be (more?) trouble with sneak divers. Re: This link speaks for itself - ppo2_diver - 06-15-2008 Afraid of a little deco? ;D Re: This link speaks for itself - matt t. - 06-15-2008 Afraid of a little deco? ;D [/quote] Yep. |
