Forcast looks pretty good, about 40 degrees.  Any one checked the viz lately, is it getting better?

Re: Vandalism at Kiwanis Pond - MytMyt - 04-02-2007

I checked it out last Friday, viz still looks pretty bad, murky. It is going to be a low viz dive. No problem though, still plenty of trash to be had by all

I have dove in the area for many years and never heard of the place.  Is it a good diving spot?  What is it like?  I will be out of the country during the dive.

It was originally Atlas Pit  before the Kiwanis Club took the pond over. It was an old sand and gravel quarry. It is 37' deep.  OK place to dive, the weeds have taken over as of late.

I won't be able to join on this outting. If there is still work that needs done afterward i could help out on either the 21st in the afternoon or the 28th.

We will have a big tent with heat for changing/warming up on site along with some hot chocolate courtesy of a local catering company.

Is there going to be any shore work being done?  I may be able to convince my wife to come along to work on shore, as long as she doesn't have to get in the water.

Do we need to bring any tools?  Are we going to do rebuilding or just cleanup?
