Re:New equipment - freediverND - 04-07-2003 Jason, I have 2 sherwood regs.. an Oasis and a Shadow. I think the sherwoods have a very good reputation. They have a patented "anti-dry mouth" feature that is really nice. They are the only regs I've ever owned so can't tell you much as far as comparisons go. Fred Re:New equipment - dfreeman - 04-07-2003 I have 2 Sherwood Magnums and have used them extensively. Never had a problem and only slight freeflow on one ice dive. No problems on the next two. Great all purpose regulator. I prefer the Magnum for tropical diving. For most recreational divers, this is a great regulator. A lot of dive shops use this regulator because it is easy to service and keeps working. For deep and cold I use a Posidon Odin. You either love them or hate them. I have not had any problem with the Posidon. Doug Re:New equipment - dfreeman - 04-18-2003 The PST tanks I refer too are coming available (shipping from factory, in theory, you know) as follows: E8-119 May, 2003 E8-130 May, 2003 E8-149 October, 2003 I am looking forward to the E8-130's that I ordered. Doug Re:New equipment - scubert - 04-23-2003 I was told that there is a considerable price hike that is accompanying the new alloy tanks. I don't really like the sound of that > Re:New equipment - FreediveWI - 04-23-2003 Check out Pirate's Cove or Deep Blue. I know that they both ordered a bunch of the old ones, and new ones, and have them at a pretty good price. They are basically the same tanks as the old 85's, 104's and 120's that have been recertified for higher pressures. Jon Re:New equipment - Chris H - 04-23-2003 I have a Pressed Steel low pressure 120 that I am considering selling for around $200. It is black with a DIN valve on it and has some chipped paint. I can take pictures if anyone is interested. I'm getting rid of it to get one of the new 130s Re:New equipment - scubert - 04-23-2003 Yeah, I get all my tanks from P/C, they do have great prices. I am probably going to be looking for a lp80 to double with another I already have, or an lp95 for another single to match my 95.
