Re: Lake Wazee - nateburger - 07-19-2006 I am a little new here. Where exactly is Lake Wazee? Thanks! Re: Lake Wazee - Chris H - 07-19-2006 Black River Falls, WI Re: Lake Wazee - Omicron - 07-20-2006 It's right off of Hwy 54 and very, ver easy to get to. If heading there from Central WI, you will pass the indian pow-wow grounds and a sign for the lake will be right there telling you to turn left. Head a ways down that road, andother left past Bauer I believe the name is (right as the road turns to dirt), and you are in the park. Pretty easy to find, and definitely worth the drive. Re: Lake Wazee - Dive time - 07-25-2006 Gazing Ball back ;D Re: Lake Wazee - Omicron - 07-25-2006 I noticed that. And one hell of a ball it is. That thing is awesome Re: Lake Wazee - Dive time - 07-25-2006 Your Welcome Re: Wazee - gazing ball pics - Roger Southwick - 07-31-2006 ... and back with a vengeance! Compare it to the bowling ball just above the flag. Re: Lake Wazee - scubagrrl - 07-31-2006 Neat, where's the entry to find this stuff? My 15 yr old son is getting his open water this month and once he passes it would be fun to take him up there and show him some of this stuff that we have yet to find ourselves! Re: Lake Wazee - Chris H - 07-31-2006 That stuff, with the exception of the boat, is/was in about 150ft of water. I think the flag was deeper than that at some point. Take your son to the shallow fish cribs found at any of the dive entries at Wazee. Re: Lake Wazee - Omicron - 07-31-2006 The ball is definitely too deep. I'd recommend going to the Sherwood Forest site for some fun diving. There are a TON of things to see there in the shallower depths. There is a shallow dive platform, LOTS of fish cribs. I think that is where the boat is too. You can cruise along the wall winding through trees at depths ranging from 20-100+ feet. Between the cribs and the platform there are a bunch of concrete tubes that you can swim through as well, which are always fun. |
