Freediving the Lumberman - FreediveWI - 07-17-2003

We had a great time on the Lumberman last night. Waves were calm, although there was a little surface current, and the surface temp was 61 degrees. ;D

Vis was pretty good on the bottom, over 40', until thebubble blowers came down and started to kick it up. :'(

We even had 3 freedivers on board last night- 1/4 of the divers! 8)

The wreck seems to be getting shallower, as the lake level goes down, as I could not find anything deeper than 62'- and it took a few tries lying in the sand to find that point!

It was a bit of a long boat ride, but everyone had a great time. I didn't have my camera but a friend of mine shot some video that he might be able to pull some stills off of to post.

Looks like if you want to get deeper you have to bring a shovel. Maybe that is what stirred up the bottom?
