Algoma Diving! - Matthuse - 06-09-2006 Hi all I'm new to this site and relatively new to diving, certified 4 years, AOW but only have 40 or so dives under my belt, I live in the Twin Cities and recently purchased my first set of gear! I will be traveling for a fishing trip to Algoma in a couple of weekends and would like to do some diving while i'm there. I was wondering if there is any good places or shallow wrecks or sites relatively close to Algoma that I might be able to dive and test out my gear for the first time? Also what type of water temp will I be experiencing? Will a 7mm be ok for a shallow short dive? Never been to Algoma, are their beaches or parks that would provide easy entry? Any help and or insight would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!! Re: Algoma Diving! - moneysavr - 06-11-2006 Hey hit me up, I dive lots of weekends in the area and have a boat, otherwise Greenbay Scuba has a great Shore dive map with wrecks and dive sites to dive more north, And yes a 7mm will be fine as I hit the water on a wreck in 62, I do like to dive dry and Know I know why!
