Deep Sea Detectives Has Been Canceled - NEHDAD - 09-05-2006

This was just posted on the History Channels website

Friends , fans and channel surfers :

Deep Sea Detectives has not been renewed for another set of episodes.
After 57 shows , THC has decided that we have pretty much explored this topic as completely and with as much variety as can be done. While we have loved the experience , I can't say we don't understand the logic. We've certainly gotten our share of adventure , diving , exotic locations and good times and interesting stories.

We aren't done yet !!! We are currently producing a follow up to our incredibly successful Titanic's Final Moments special which promises to be a real headline grabber. John and Richie and an international team of some of the finest wreck divers in the World are gearing up for a dive on the Britannic in the coming months for a special on Titanic's doomed sister.
At 400 feet , the boys are intending to enter the wreck and get answers to Britannic's most enduring mystery ... stay tuned .

Diveportaldvd.com type that in to your web browser right now !! John and Richie are hosting a series of 2 hour DVD's that every diver and arm chair adventurer will want to own . It's got deep and dangerous diving , it's got shallow diving for the less crazy and it's got sights and locations that most of us simply won't get too. If you are planning a trip to one of the many dive locations featured, you'll really want to see this series of DVD . J&R give you tips on everything from which dive boats to use to which restaurants to hit.

The first edition is out, the second will be coming in November.

Finally, J&R and all the folks at Lone Wolf Documentary Group which produced the majority of the series episodes want to thank you and The History Channel for keeping us on the air so long ! Three years and 57 episodes is a success and in this business, a real accomplishment.

Kirk

What a shame this is.  These two brought so much life to our sport and intrest into local diving.
