willie memorials gone - underwateraddict - 09-15-2006
I dove the Willie last night and a few weeks ago. I noticed that several of the memorials have dissapeared. Anybody know anything? I am assuming since more than one are missing it's foul play.
Vis was 25 water was so warm I felt hot in the dry suit on the bottom.

Just the one brass plaque left, been that way for a while now. Rumor has it they are gone for renovation, making better looking memorials. Don't know if it is true or not, just what I heard.

It has been awhile since I talked with Jerry and checked back here as well. I did not think of that. He has repaired these in the past and replaced one I retrieved from under the superstructure and gave him. I am glad to hear it and hope it's true.
