P-Valve quick disconnect - LKunze - 02-12-2007
For anyone interested in making a quick disconnect for their p-valves below is a parts list from McMaster-Carr. It consists of two barbed hose connectors. I just rigged mine up today. This is much nicer when you want to get out of your suit between dives.
Here's the parts list from McMaster :
5012K83 Acetal Quick-Disconnect Tube Coupling, Socket For 3/8" Tube Id, 1/4" Coupler, Shut-Off 1 Each
This one goes on the hose connected to the suit. It shuts off when disconnected so if you are using a balanced valve and it fails or if you are using an unbalanced valve with the bolt screwed out your suit won't flood.
5012K72 Acetal Quick-Disconnect Tube Coupling, Plug For 3/8"TUBE Id, 1/4" Coupler, Straight Thru 1 Each
This one goes on the condom catheter.
