pilot island - JacobsonC2 - 08-09-2004 pilot island was another dive we did up in door county. there are three schooners together at this site. they are almost on top of each other. max bottom depth is around 30ft. a similar dive to the fleetwing. Re:pilot island - freediverND - 08-10-2004 Sheepshead.. maybe Re:pilot island - dfreeman - 08-10-2004 I also believe that this is a sheepshead or Freshwater Drum (Aplodinotus grunniens) from the position of the pectoral and pelvic fins, long 2-part dorsal fin, coloring and the arch of the head. I've taken a few of them in the Madison lakes when the crappie are scarce and I'm hungry for fish. ![]() Jon |
