You don't need to let everyone know of moderations. Simply make the person whom you moderated aware in a private message and be done with it.

Let me clarify what I meant by this - you can let people know of moderations - but please do it in the thread that you moderated, there is no need to start up new threads just to announce moderations.
Sorry if there was a misunderstanding on the intent of my previous message - I know everyone likes to keep this place pretty open.
