Dive Report: Emba 4.9.06 - matt t. - 04-10-2006

Went out yesterday to the Emba with Shipwreck Adventures. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Sunny, 50's, and NO waves. We did a 20 minute dive in about 40 degree water. Visibility was in the 30-40 ft range. Hope to get back out there soon! The tri-mix class payed off. Clear as a bell @ 160!

You are certainly right about the weather being nice and the lake being calm!  Considering that Saturday was 10 ft and more.  However, I think you had better viz where you were than where I was in Milwaukee diving the Willy.  Probaby only about 15 to 20 ft.  Water was cold too, about 34-35°.

Considering we had a few nasty days of south - south east winds I would have been pleased with the 15+ vis closer to shore.  Did you notice all the debris in the river and close to the harbor?  By today it could very well be all gone...  We will see what tomorrow holds.
