ERDI 1 is being offered in Black River Falls WI May 2nd - 4th or October 3rd-5th
This program is designed to teach basic black water search and recovery operations for divers working with public safety dive teams. The program content is compliant with all OSHA 1910, NFPA 1670 and NFPA 1006 regulations pertaining to diving operations. Diver training will include: basic search patterns, hazard assessment, risk benefit analyses, equipment selection and deployment for emergency response diving. Additionally a general orientation to the following topics will be included: OSHA standards and the extreme limitations of the Rescue exemption policy for PSD, scene control, dealing with bystanders and the media. The dive operations are strongly oriented toward tethered diving operations with some minimal discussion of free swimming patterns and their applications/limitations. A very strong emphasis is placed on rescue operations for team members who experience difficulties during a dive deployment and performing other safety diver activities. We are available to train at your location. Call for more info. Wazee Sports Center 715-284-5181 or mail scuba@wazeesports.com |
