How is Wazee looking?

Hoping to get out on Thursday and do a dive at Wazee.  Has anyone been out and if so, how is the visibility and water temp.?

A week ago Sunday, vis was cloudy down to about 80ft, then was pretty good to about 180ft.  Above 80 it was maybe 10ft.  Temps in the low to mid 50s about 30ft.  It was 37F deep.

Last weekend the cloudy layer had thinned a bit and it was up to 39 degrees past 100 feet

I hope the couple days of 90 degrees warmed it up!  I guess we will find out Thursday.

My dad and I are going to be up there tomorow(Friday) morning.  If you see someone in a blue jeep...stop and say hi.  Will let you know about conditions when I get home.

Water was nice and warm.  We found 75 above the thermo, but there was quite a bit of algea in the water.  Once you got below 90, it was crystal clear, and as always...a chilly 42.  Hope this helps.

Viz up to 15-30.  46 degrees still through 100ft.  Very cloudy

Was thinking of diving there on 11/27/2010 . . . Any reports?  Still cloudy?  Worth it?

Open water diving with 46 degree temps in LATE November....Worth it??  Being big and deep, it's slow to warm up in the spring, and slow to loose it's heat in the fall/winter.  Wish it wasn't a 3 hour drive for me or I'd be there in a moment!!   I love diving through the trees and down the wall at Sherwood Forest.  Checking out the smallmouth bass at the fish cribs.  In a few more weeks, we'll have ice everywhere else.  Then there's the St. Croix Scuba New Years Dive on the first of January!  So much to look forward to!

I was at Wazee on Saturday. Water temps were in the low to mid 40s, plenty of steam coming off the lake (air temp was about 15. Vis was 20-30 in the shallow, getting better with depth. Well worth the drive from Milwaukee.  ;D
