Re: Zebra Mussels
I just got an Email back from the UW Sea Grant on the edibility of zebra mussels.
Looks like it's chowtime! ;D Zebra Chilli anyone? Popcorn mussels? Eat all you want! They'll make more! The only thing you would want to watch is the quality of the water they come from.

Re: Zebra Mussels
Before you start boiling some up let me relate a little story to you.
A couple of years ago the guys from NHK rented out the Len-Der to film a documentary on Zebra Mussles. At the end of the week they flew over to Detroit for a few days to film the ducks that were eating them. This sounded like a great, natural, way to control the mussles excpet that after eating the mussles the ducks DIED! Go back to your recipies. Jon |

Re: Zebra Mussels
Well, that should be the end to this (increasingly gross) thread.
Thanks, Jon |

Re: Zebra Mussels
Maybe the ducks forgot to cook them before eating them.
