Annual Florida Keys Lobster and Wreck Dive Trip

(based on 6 person per condo occupancy and total of 12 persons diving)



If you have never been to the Florida Keyes this trip is for you!  We will experience them from Key Largo to the most southern Key ,  Historic Key West .


Ed and Pat Davis will be hosting this trip for the Sport Lobster season diving.  Experience 2 days of lobster hunt/diving (2 dives per day), 3 days (2 dives per day) of wreck and reef diving including trips to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park (wreck and reef), the USS Duane and the famous USS Spiegel Grove (wreck dives)  in the Key Largo area and the Thunderbolt right out of Marathon.  We have chartered our own boat for these dives so it will be a really great time.


We may also try some Scuba Stik underwater fishing as time and opportunity allows, plans are not complete on this yet.  Charter fishing is also an   option, more on this will be forthcoming.


Historic Key West is just an hour drive through the scenic South Keyes and provides shopping, nightly ghost tours, live entertainment, dining, etc.


NOTE:  Last year four of us did this trip to check out the lobster diving and this resort and it was just great!  We all got our limits of 6  lobster each both days and had a wonderful lobster dinner in our condo to celebrate.  (see photo of on “About Us” page at the Scubastik.com website for proof of our success!)


*Certifications Necessary!
The Ship Wreck dives are deep dives so divers need Advanced Open Water Certification (Lobster dives are shallow dives).  If you wish to take Advanced Open Water,  Wreck , Deep or Boat Diving classes please contact us so we can get you certified before we go!


Accomodations:
We will be staying at the Coco Plum Beach & Tennis Club, each 6 person condo features 2 full bedrooms with an additional queen size sleeper, 2 full baths, full kitchen, 2 dining areas, fully enclosed wrap around deck (great for all the scuba gear) and laundry room.  Units are very nicely furnished and very clean.  Linens and towels are supplied but there is no daily maid service so  guests are responsible for laundry and cleaning of the unit for the week. 


The resort also features a private beach, swimming pool, hot tub and well maintained tropical setting.  It is located centrally in the Keyes so you will only travel approximately 2 hour to the furthest dive destination while the lobster dives charters are within 5 minutes of the resort.  For a virtual tour of the resort got to .


Travel to Marathon :
You will be responsible for your own transportation to Marathon .  If you plan air travel we recommend flying into Fort Lauderdale and renting a car there.  We can provide air tickets from Milwaukee to Fort Lauderdale for $250-300 and your share of car rentals will be approximately $80-100 (   this depends on the vehicle we decide on and number of persons in each vehicle)  for the week.
