The pen, which was previously used to raise fish in the Milwaukee River
MARINETTE, Wis. - The days of serving up a salmon fish fry to cormorants and seagulls may be ending on the Lower Menominee River.
A Marinette-Menominee Great Lakes Sport Fishermen Club project is allowing fish fry to have a chance to grow up a little before becoming fair game. Club members obtained a net pen and modified it to hold chinook salmon long enough to acclimate them to the river before they're released. Article: |
