Wazee 7/12
Nice day of diving today at Wazee. The weather was beautiful. We enjoyed visibility ranging from 15ft to 30ft at depth. The visibility was diminished between 20-60ft by layers of silt. The water was toasty warm above the first thermocline. We encountered cooler temperatures (lower 40s) below 40 ft. The north access was almost empty all day. I couldn't believe it. Where were all the divers today? The north access parking lot is paved now. Wazee is getting too easy. Wazee is to local diving what a RV is to a tent. If I could move the lake about 2 hours closer to my house it would be perfect.

Re:Wazee 7/12
You have noticed the summer silt layer. Once the second thermocline sets up, you get this effect.
The new facilities are nice. They are spending a little money on the divers. We were at Whitefish Point, Michigan, doing wrecks on Lake Superior. Will let you know more details on another part of this site. See you later. Doug |

Re:Wazee 7/12
I may be down at Wazee again this coming weekend. There are two shops from the twin cities camping there all weekend.
