You forgot the part about equipment preperation and how important it is to make sure that orings are properly lubed and free of crud. I had a dribble leak in one of my Nik II's from something as simple as a hair from my eyelash that had managed to compromise the main oring.

And close inspection, I had a housing with a hairline crack on the body side mount for the tray and strobe arm. When no tray/strobe was mounted no leak, when you mounted a tray/strobe it would leak! The manufacturer replaced the housing and camera.
