Rental gear?
Does anyone, or place, you know rent essential gear for under H20 photography? It appears the cash layout is astronomical! It would be great to have a chance to do this, down the road, without having to commit serious cash up front.

Re: Rental gear?
What are your ambitions? How do you plan to use it? What kind of water conditions, lighting, and subjects? While it's easy to spend $5-10k putting together a rig (housed dSLR with wide-angle lens, dome port, and external strobes), it's also easy to put together a setup for under $500-1000 that still has the ability to take good photos. Re: Rental gear?
Well it would not be renting, but I have a Sea Life Reefmaster 6mp with the wide angle lens for around 550.00. I have not yet purchased the strobe for it but I have been quoted 300.00 to 400.00. It takes desent photos in the green water that we have around here. I have some posted on this site as well as flickr.
