Bahamas
Was going through the picture catalog and was looking at the picture taken last January. A large group of us took a liveaboard cruise to the Bahamas with Blackbeards Cruises. We were on the good ship Morning Star and had a grand time. Great diving during the week, but a bit cold.
Here we have many of the group on the Morning Star preparing to drink Chub Cay dry. |

Re:Bahamas
One of the dives that I enjoyed the most was on the wreck of the Hesparus. There was a lot of fish life and a nurse shark to watch. This made for a great dive. Can you see the nurse shark?

Re:Bahamas
All around the sand in the area were southern stingrays resting. They were not very active but they were fun to watch, half buried in the sand.
You could get nice and close. |

Re:Bahamas
During on of the night dives, I saw this spanish lobster. I though it was some kind of bug at first. Or a peice of junk. These are some weird looking animals.

Re:Bahamas
A enjoy watching trumpet fish. They are a cunning carnivore. They hide in schools of fish and in the fan corals.

Re:Bahamas
Finally, the little things were very nice on this trip. The coral was in good condition and we had some great diving. Some great chances to take pictures also.
The little things can be very neat. |

Re:Bahamas
It should be noted that they let just about everyone have a chance at running the ship.
This was a great time and everyone had fun. This was an especially good group to go with. We had plenty of fun. Makes one look forward to this years spring trip. Hope you all get to go diving. Doug |
