Okay, I broke the bulb on my Halcyon 18w HID like a dumb@ss!
Where is the cheapest place to get this Welch-Allyn 124001?
Halcyon's fair pricing lists at $156. I'm having no luck finding anything but 5th D's $188...???

Do a search on the Deco Stop site. I remember reading about an alternate source or sources for HID bulbs. If I remember right they were a lot more reasonable then the prices you have.

I did a quick Welch Allyn Search, and found two places that look promising. All that i found were WA****** type part numbers and Welch Allyn builds mostly medical equipment. I looked thru a catalog for some of their equipment, but this bulb number did not come up. It did not come up on any searches on those sites either. there was a contact number on these sites..maybe this will help...GL

I did some more searching and found the real model number from WA and a price from WA - $210!

The part number is M21N002

Welch Allyn is pretty much the only mfg. of those bulbs - doesn't matter what light you have (Halcyon, Dive Rite, UK) - it's a WA bulb in the light.

Unfortunately, they are EXPENSIVE!!! We were looking at buying some replacement bulbs from WA directly for our Dive-Rite light heads (as backups...) but the price wasn't really any different than what we could get directly from Dive Rite. If you start ordering bulk, you get discounts...but who needs 100 bulbs??

Good luck on your search - I know a lot of other people are trying to get cheaper bulbs too, but it's not really possible to save a ton of money on these HID lights - it's one of the things you have to accept when you buy one of these - just ask my dive partner that had to send both of our lightheads into DiveRite after he blew them w/ reversed polarity on a battery!

Search for posts on the Decostop from Oxyhacker. He posted a link to an ATV place that sold HID lights for ATVs and they were considerably cheaper.
