Whitefish Point
Back in August we went to Whitefish Point. This was a great trip since the weather was perfect and the diving was great. You can see how nice it was in this picture.

The first spot that we went to was the Miztec. This was a wreck that I had not been on before.
The Miztec sank in a gale in 1921 with all seven hands perishing. The ship is broken up but has a lot to see. Here is some of the chain from the wreck. |

Re:Whitefish Point
There were a large number of small fish on this wreck which is really neat to watch as you dive this wreck.

Re:Whitefish Point
I was surprised at the amount of the freshwater sponges that were on this wreck, Here is a nice example.

Re:Whitefish Point
The next wreck we went to was the NIagara. I did not get any realy good pictures of this wreck as the visibility was poor. The Niagara sank in a gale in 1887 with all 9 hands lost. This wreck is broken up. I think that this would be a great wreck to visit when the visibility was better.
Here is our captain taking us on the advanture. |
