Re: Devils Lake Report
Viz is down from most of the summer.  It was up to 15' most of the summer, but this past weekend it was down to maybe 8'.

Re: Devils Lake Report
Well, I've been back from Cozumel for two weeks now(15 ocean dives and two cenote dives on the mainland)  and needed to get a dive in, so I decided to try Devil's lake.  Way bad viz: three to maybe four feet.  (A little bit differert from the cenote).  At times I could barely make out my own fins.  Temp 42.  Even still a nice relaxing dive along the rocks.

Re: Devils Lake Report
Dos Ojos -- great dives.  Went with a guide from Aqua Safari (though the trip had nothing to do with AS; he did this on his own on his day off.  He arranged the whole trip from the island:  bought the ferry tickets, arranged a pick-up truck, tanks and weights and took us to the site, paid the  entry fee and even provided a lunch.  The 45 minute truck ride from Playa del Carmen provided a long time for a through briefing and education on the cenotes and area.

He said that we would not regret diving dos ojos, and he was right.

Re: Devils Lake Report
As you probablly have heard about Cozumel, there is still sand on the reefs, most of the soft corals are gone but the fish are all there.  We saw eagle rays, stingrays, huge angels of all kinds, octupus, eels, several turtles, etc.  Viz was always 100 ft.+  Great dives in all.

Re: Devils Lake Report
We tried Devil's again yesterday.  The viz has improved to maybe 7' (from 3' two weeks ago) and the temp is up to 48F.  Hopefully the trend will continue.
