Rouse Simmons Day *Saturday* in Two Rivers
Tomorrow, this Saturday (11/18), there is an event in Two Rivers, WI, honoring the 94th anniversary of the sinking of the "Christmas Tree Ship". At 1 PM, Keith Meverden and Tamara Thomsen from the State Historical Society is giving a presentation of the findings of the archaeological survey we did this summer. They're sure to have lots of cool photos and interesting stories. From 2-4 PM, there will be an open house at the Rogers Street Fishing Village museum, which has a collection of Rouse Simmons Artifacts.
Here's an article about the event in the Milwaukee paper: and info from a Manitowoc website: and my trip report from one of the weeks this summer: For more info: call (920) 793-5905, visit or . |
