Re: Zebra Mussels
I just got an Email back from the UW Sea Grant on the edibility of zebra mussels.

Looks like it's chowtime! ;D  Zebra Chilli anyone?  Popcorn mussels?

Eat all you want! They'll make more! Big Grin

The only thing you would want to watch is the quality of the water they come from.

Re: Zebra Mussels
Before you start boiling some up let me relate a little story to you.

A couple of years ago the guys from NHK rented out the Len-Der to film a documentary on Zebra Mussles. At the end of the week they flew over to Detroit for a few days to film the ducks that were eating them. This sounded like a great, natural, way to control the mussles excpet that after eating the mussles the ducks DIED!

Go back to your recipies. Wink

Re: Zebra Mussels
Maybe the ducks forgot to cook them before eating them.
