Re: Lake Metonga
I've been diving Lake Metonga about a dozen times a year for the past five years. It's one of the most beautiful lakes in Wisconsin in my estimation. The clarity is superb, and the plant and fish life is varied and abundant. If you have any specific questions, email me at eric@underwaterfishphotos.com
One tip: Stay in 20 feet or less. The deeper you go, the less fish and fauna you will see. I love this lake because the clarity is exceptional for underwater photography. There are three public access points. There are 2 large parks at the north and south ends, and a small shore dive access on the east side. Nearby Lake Lucerne is a fine lake, but it isn't as clear and doesn't have nearly as many fish as Metonga. Hope this helps. |
