Has anybody made their own spearguns before?

I haven't, but know people who have. You can buy the speargun parts through RIFFE or UNDERSEA.

Check out BLUE.com and there are some recent articles on how to do it. Plus, there are forums on there to post your questions and get soem very detailed feedback.

The places all have the parts that you would need and advice on how to get started. You can very creative with these things form what I have seen.

A mid-handled gun would be a nice one to make.
