This picture is from the Miztec. The schooner/barge Miztec was built in Marine City, Michigan in 1890. This was a bulk carrier usually towed by the Myron. The Myron sunk in 1919 Northwest of Whitefish Point, Michigan. The Miztec floundered in a severe gale on May 15, 1921. THe strange part is that the Miztec sank a mile from the Myron that sank three years earlier. The 7 people aboard the Miztec all perished in the mishap.
