The problem is, dive lights are behind by about 2yrs in the technology. Gotta sell the old stock before the new comes out I guess. For most of the high powered LED's they put out 80 lumens per watt. I just read a newsbit about a new lighting technolgy that puts out 120 lumens per watt using plasma technology. This is all I know about it right now, but I plan on looking into it soon. Having wallet pains dealing with taxes.

It'll be interesting to see how fast this catches on. Not sure if this will work in diving applications, might be delicate like HID's.

I received some additional info on the plasma lights. They run on 28V and draw 9.5A. They would require some serious battery power. Not cheap either, the bulbs are $250. I inquired about a 12V version if in the works, Stay tuned...
