Re: Straits of Mackinac - July 15th and 16th
Here's the Young's wheel back in August of 2004 - notice no green balls of slime floating....
That's kinda what I'm wondering about. IF these things are more of a July occurance, then I might tend to plan my next trip in August. Looking forward to hear what Chris sees when he goes up there in a few weeks. George - based on my photos from last year, the vis was far worse in 2005 than in 2004. No algae tufts in 2005, but still relatively bad vis for decent photography... -schultz |

August next year? Guess that means another weekend of not-divemastering. Aw shucks. > |

As long as it's not the second weekend in August, since that is the weekend, and I got's to have my brewfest every year!
Other than that, I'm cool with you skipping out on DM duties.... |

I recommend the Wisconsin Microbrew festival in Chilton. It is always the Sunday before Memorial Day. I was at Rowland's Calumet Brewery last Saturday night and Bonita said the show will go on...I guess this is off topic, but I think it is nearly always appropriate to discuss beer. |

The floating algae globs are still there. I just got back from two days in Whitefish Pont and Two in the Straits. I'll post more when I'm not so sleepy.
