Windoze is Mac speak for the Windows operating system. All the cool people spell it like that ;D Bootstrap is a free program that Apple offers for Intel chipped Macs that allow it to boot natively into Windoze, with your own registered copy of the OS, instead of emulating it like Virtual PC does. With bootstrap, I could run Decoplanner or GAP and SmartTrak to keep track of my dives while not having to screw around and dig out my PC for those things or run them very slowly in virtual PC like I am currently doing. I haven't found a good Mac deco program yet, and although JTrak works to download my dives to the Mac, it won't allow me to transfer my entire electronic log book from Smarttrak. |
