Gunilda Wreck Trip - Tech Trip
Wazee is diving the Gunilda!!!
Join us on this amazing dive September 11-14 2009

Diving the Gunilda
The descent on the Gunilda takes 4 minutes. You will first encounter the deck at 240 feet. The maximum depth attainable is 280 feet (85 meters). The visibility is 20 feet (6 meters) and there is no ambient light. The water temperature is 38F(4C) at the bottom, and there are 2 thermo clines, the first is at 30 feet and the other one at 100 feet.  There is no apparent current. Penetration on this wreck is forbidden because of the very narrow corridors. However, it is possible to admire the richness of the different salons through the many windows along the deck.  The Gunilda is virtually intact, with all its lavish features including her gold trimmed carved wood at the bow, still in place.

September 11-14 2009 we will be diving on one of the top ten wrecks in the world.  Don't miss this opportunity for the dive trip of a lifetime.  We have joined with Black Dog Diving to offer this spectacular trip.  The cost of this 4-day trip is $600.00. Price does Not included is transportation to Rossport, Ontario, meals and dive gas, and lodging.  We will have the capability to blend your mixes on site.  Advanced Trimix cert. and passport required.  Sign up now, as this trip will fill fast!!!

Re: Gunilda Wreck Trip - Tech Trip
At the time of this posting, we have returned from the Gunilda and it was a great time with terrific dives!  This is a fasinating wreck and worth everyone's time to visit her.  Watch for further postings from Keith and hopefully pictures!  Also check out other divers' postings and pictures on Facebook and Deco Stop!  Brian Shreve and Peggy Kurpinski have some photos already available!  It was a great trip and I think fun was had by all!
