Fox Brooke Park-Waukesha County
On Sunday, a few of us went freediving on whatever the puddle in Fox Brooke park is called. I didn't realize the park was there until Saturday afternoon, but we had a pretty good time. It was about 22 ft deep in the deepest spot any of us found, and the best vis was in about 18ft of water. There were tons of small bluegill, a few bass, perch, and I saw a small northern. This was all seen 20 seconds at a time I need to work at the freedive thing a bit.

Re:Fox Brooke Park-Waukesha County
You did just fine for your first time out there! 8)
Water temps were in the mid 60's and there were lots of really small panfish, plus a few nice perch and bass mixed in. The park guide says 30' max depth, but 22' was as deep as we could find in the half of the lake we were in. If someone would drop a platform in there, to stay out of the silt, it could be a really nice place to do openwater checkouts and night dives. Here's a shot of Chris giving it a try. Jon |
