Divepoint Scuba: Shipwreck Tour 2006 - Whitefish Point (07/27 - 07/28)
Join Divepoint Scuba for our Shipwreck Tour 2006. Weâll start our journey this summer with a trip to Whitefish Point (home of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum). The cold clear waters in this area have left the wrecks in excellent condition. Two days of diving (2 dives per day) will take you to see the Vienna (120â - 148â), sunk on Sept. 16 1892, bound for Marquette, MI with a load of iron ore. Sunk about a mile from shore, the lifeboat is intact and still lashed to the desk. Additional wrecks in the area include the Panther (90â - 110â), Sadie Thompson (80â - 114â), Myron (45â - 55â), Miztec (45â - 55â) and Niagara (90â - 100â) to name a few. Although most of the wrecks lie below the sport diving depth of 130â feet, there is more than enough to explore and visit. For more information, please contact Divepoint Scuba & Adventure Center:
Note: The Whitefish and Straits of Mackinac trips are schedule back-to-back over a four day period. This is done to conserve fuel / travel costs. Join us for both trips, or just one. It's up to you! |

Re: Divepoint Scuba: Shipwreck Tour 2006 - Whitefish Point (07/27 - 07/28)
There are still some spots available on this trip if anyone is interested. If we can fill a second boat, there may be an opportunity to dive a few deeper wrecks at Whitefish Point.
