Nice ;D. I would have to say "Into The Blue" is my favorite. I don't think it has anything to do with DIR, though they did use some Halcyon gear. The "honey factor" was high!

Good choice... but I'm leaning towards 'Vernon, Florida' (a documentary by Errol Morris from 1982). This is one of the best films ever produced about the 'chatter' that happens in a small rural North Florida town.
That's how it's related to DIR.

Of course my answer is biased- but my favorite is "Cave Diving Beneath the Ozarks" -Richard Dreher and Eric Parker Andersen. 

But all of the diving is in sidemount rigs...so I guess that isn't DIR.  Sorry.

As much as I love "The Big Blue", I still say that the best diving movie ever was "Thunderball"! You got to love DPV's with spearguns mounted on them and a rebreather that fits into a cigar case. 8)

The scene from "Into the Blue" with Jessica Alba wearing the ICE fins, by OMER, was pretty slick.
