Mermet Spring - dfreeman - 02-07-2010 There have been some postings about a recent trip to Mermet Spring. One of the main attractions is the Paddlefish. Thought I would share a few pictures of Paddlefish. They are really cool. Doug Re: Mermet Spring - dfreeman - 02-07-2010 There are a few other things in the water to look at. Here is a few of them. Doug Re: Mermet Spring - dfreeman - 02-07-2010 Here is a look at the quarry above water. A good time was had by all. Doug Re: Mermet Spring - Rider1017 - 02-08-2010 Very nice photo's. The first one of the Paddlefish looks like he is comming in for an attack! What is the visibility, it looks to be pretty good. I have never heard of Mermet Springs, where is it located? Re: Mermet Spring - Chris H - 02-08-2010 Vis was pretty good, but there were only a few of us in the water. I'm guessing in the summer months with many people in the water, vis is iffy. It is in Mermet, IL. 6-8 hours south of Milwaukee. Re: Mermet Spring - sum-yung guy - 02-08-2010 Great Pics Doug! Can't wait until next year! Re: Mermet Spring - jasondbaker - 02-08-2010 I've never heard of a paddlefish before. Very cool looking fish. Re: Mermet Spring - Dewit2it - 02-18-2010 It would be cool if the DNR would dump a few in Redgranite! Might clear the water up, as they're plankton feeders. ;D Might also scare off the kids! > Re: Mermet Spring - matt t. - 02-19-2010 Here's some video that Alan Williams and Greg Such took with the new HD Flip cameras. Lots of fun stuff! |
