Mermet Spring
There have been some postings about a recent trip to Mermet Spring. One of the main attractions is the Paddlefish. Thought I would share a few pictures of Paddlefish.
They are really cool. Doug |

Re: Mermet Spring
Very nice photo's. The first one of the Paddlefish looks like he is comming in for an attack! What is the visibility, it looks to be pretty good. I have never heard of Mermet Springs, where is it located?

Re: Mermet Spring
Vis was pretty good, but there were only a few of us in the water. I'm guessing in the summer months with many people in the water, vis is iffy. It is in Mermet, IL. 6-8 hours south of Milwaukee. |

Re: Mermet Spring
It would be cool if the DNR would dump a few in Redgranite! Might clear the water up, as they're plankton feeders. ;D
Might also scare off the kids! >

Here's some video that Alan Williams and Greg Such took with the new HD Flip cameras. Lots of fun stuff!
