Does anyone know if burbot is considered a "rough" fish?

Yes, they are. I've heard some of the old timers say that they're pretty good to eat if prepared the right way.

Thanks, I guess you are suppose to boil them and eat them with butter.  I think they boil burbot once a year in Washington Island, I hear the FIBs go nuts over them.
